Update: March 27

BC-PASS Account Types Explained

At Bay City Bridge Partners, we offer non-commercial customers driving Class 1 passenger vehicles THREE different BC-PASS payment options – depending on where you live and how much you intend to use Liberty (and eventually Independence) Bridge.

Option One: City of Bay City residents pay $0

All it takes for City of Bay City residents driving a Class 1 vehicle to receive FREE tolling on Liberty Bridge until 2028 and on Independence Bridge until 2030 is to open an account with a valid vehicle registration showing your residence within the City limits. Be sure to properly install your transponder in your vehicle!

Option Two: Non-residents pay $2 per crossing

Each $2 crossing is deducted from the pre-paid balance that we ask non-resident customers to fund when they open a BC-PASS account. This is perfect for drivers who use the bridge a few times per month.

Option Three: Pay $15/mo for unlimited crossings

This account provides a discount for drivers who use the bridge(s) regularly – more than 7-8 times per month. We will deduct $15 each month from the payment method you select for your account – either credit or debit card. The $15/mo pass will work on both Liberty and Independence bridges.

March is the perfect time to create a BC-PASS account

Open your account in person, online or by phone by March 31, and your name will be entered into our $500 Giveaway!

Another offer you won’t want to miss

If you receive a Pay-by-Mail invoice in the coming weeks for travel over Liberty Bridge without a transponder, you may REDUCE YOUR BILL by creating a BC-PASS account for future travels across the bridge(s).

  • City of Bay City residents: Create a BC-PASS account in person or by phone, and we will eliminate the first Pay-by-Mail invoice.
  • Non-residents: Create a BC-PASS account in person or by phone, and we will adjust your Pay-by-Mail toll transactions to the lower BC-PASS rate based on your vehicle class.
