IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT FRAUDULENT TOLL COLLECTION TEXTS

The FBI has issued a warning to the public about a growing text phishing scam (known as “smishing”). Scammers are impersonating tolling authorities and stating recipients owe an outstanding toll amount. Recipients are directed to click a link to settle the balance and avoid late fees.

If you receive a text like this and want to verify if you owe a balance, please check your account online at https://www.bc-pass.com or call Bay City Bridge Partners customer service at 855-648-4330 weekdays between 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. ET.

The FBI is advising consumers not to click on the link and to delete the text. Fraudulent texts can be reported with the FBI’s Internet Crime Compliant Center (IC3) at, www.ic3.gov.

If you’ve ever wondered how Bay City got from Point A to Point B on finding a public/private partnership for Liberty and Independence bridges, we invite you to watch Lynn Pavlawk, BCBP general manager, and Dana Muscott, Bay City manager, on The Follow Up with Mike Redford. This educational discussion provides a wealth of information about the process and the outcome of bringing toll bridges to Bay City.
